Frequently Asked Questions
What services are available here?
Account Assistance can confirm your credentials, reset your password, retrieve your username, or activate online access for an existing ASHBA membership.
Who should use Account Assistance?
Use these services if you are unsure whether your credentials work, have forgotten your username or password, or are an existing ASHBA member who has never established online access.
Where do I start?
Please choose Verify My Credentials if you know your username and password. Choose Request Password Reset if you have an account but cannot remember the password. Choose Retrieve Username if you know your member number. Existing members without a myASHBA login should choose Activate Online Access.
Do my existing credentials still work?
If you already have a myASHBA username and password, please begin by signing in. You may use Verify My Credentials if you would first like to confirm them.
What happens when I verify my credentials?
The service securely confirms whether the username and password you provide can access myASHBA. It does not change your account. If the password is not accepted, please use Request Password Reset. If the username is not found, use Retrieve Username or contact myASHBA Portal Support.
I forgot my password. What should I do?
Please choose Request Password Reset and enter the email address associated with your myASHBA account. If a matching account is found, a secure reset link will be sent by email.
I forgot my username. What should I do?
Please choose Retrieve Username and enter your ASHBA member number. If the member number is connected to an account, the username will be sent to the email address on file.
I am an ASHBA member, but I have never had an online login. What should I do?
Please choose Activate Online Access. This service securely connects your existing ASHBA member record to a myASHBA username and password.
What information do I need to activate online access?
You will need your last name, postal code, email address, desired username, and password. First name, birthdate, phone number, and address details may also help identify the correct ASHBA member record.
Why is the system asking me to match my membership?
Connecting your login to the correct member record protects your account and ensures that your membership, records, and services appear together in myASHBA.
Can I accidentally create a duplicate account?
If you may already have an account or ASHBA member record, use the recovery and activation services rather than creating a second account. Review any identified member record carefully and contact myASHBA Portal Support if you are uncertain.
What are the password rules?
Your password must be at least six characters long. Passwords are case sensitive, and the confirmation entry must match.
I requested a reset email but did not receive it. What should I check?
Check your spam, junk, promotions, and other filtered folders. Confirm that you entered the email address associated with your account. If a second request does not arrive after several minutes, contact myASHBA Portal Support to verify the address on file.
My reset link says it is expired or invalid. What should I do?
Password reset links are time-sensitive and may be used only once. Request a new link and use the most recent reset email you receive.
Can I use Account Assistance if my membership is inactive?
Yes. Account access and membership status are separate. Sign in after recovering your credentials, then use myASHBA to renew your membership.
I need to join ASHBA for the first time — what do I do?
First, create your myASHBA account. Then sign in and select the membership that is right for you.
Can two people share the same email address for login?
Each person should use a unique email address for their myASHBA account. If related accounts currently share an address, contact myASHBA Portal Support before creating another account.
What should I do if I am not sure which option to choose?
Please begin with Verify My Credentials if you know your username and password. Use Request Password Reset if you know the email address on your account, or Retrieve Username if you know your member number. Existing members without a login should choose Activate Online Access.
What should I include if I contact ASHBA for help?
Email PortalSupport@Saddlebred.com with your name, member number if available, the service you were using, the error message displayed, and the email address you believe is associated with your account. Never send your password by email.
